Tonight I watched my son play the part of “JoJo” in “The Seussical”. It was a middle school production, but I was impressed. They worked really hard on it, and it paid off. This was my second night to watch the musical. The first night I was so nervous as I waited for his big scenes. I remembered how I felt right before I’d come on stage. I always got nervous just before, but as soon as I entered the stage all my fears were gone, and I had a blast. I was almost just as nervous.
He did awesome!!! Yes, it’s from a mother’s perspective, but he hit every note, and didn’t miss a line. As they danced through the closing song, “Green Eggs and Ham”, I cried. I’m such a boo-hooer. But I was so proud. I guess most mom’s would be, but I’m happy to have a talented son who enjoys some of my same favorite hobbies.
He didn’t even get nervous. He obviously loved every minute, and so did I.
