During the New Year’s break, my husband and I took the kids to spend time with their cousins. Some of them were sick, but I decided we’d risk it since it had been so long since I’d seen them.
Well, you guessed it… We’ve been sick. I stayed home from church with 2 sick kids, and now I’m wondering if we’ll be out for another Sunday as well! Tuesday night I had to have a sleep study done (I am a loud Snorer!) and honestly it felt like a night out at a hotel! It was so nice- despite the plethora of wires that were attached to my face, abdomen and everywhere else! The night previous, I had been up all night with a sick child with a high fever. The lady from the sleep study just laughed at me when I told her I was looking forward to my appointment!
Now, 3 days later, I’m just hoping it will all go away soon. My house is a disaster, and no one (including me) feels like doing anything. Still, I felt like a good mom today, doing a number of heroic acts such as returning library books (and helping my daughter pay off her $10 fine), picking up and dropping off kids at school (most of them went today) and getting a card signed from multiple young women leaders and bringing it back to my daughter at the highschool (long story…) It’s been a busy day.
So, tonight we’ll relax. We like to watch a family movie and eat homemade pizza and popcorn on Friday nights. That sounds just about…perfect!
