November 1 – Today has a been a rough one for me, but I’m glad it’s November and I’m focused on blessings and things that I’m grateful for. Today I’m grateful for my smile. I was talking with a friend yesterday about how much money has gone into my mouth… it’s been a lot! – headgear, braces, periodontics, etc. I’m grateful for my smile – but I’m also grateful that I can choose to be happy, even when things don’t go the way I want them to, or life is just hard. Sometimes by smiling, it can make me feel happier. Here’s an invitation to take the journey along with me this month of November and share the things you are grateful for. November 2 – One thing I’ve been struggling with, is figuring out my business. I want to share music, speak, sing and encourage others to become the person they were meant to be! I know it’s part of my life mission, and something I’m continually working towards. Today I’m grateful for inspired ideas that help me to move forward. Sometimes I wish God would just make it all happen without all the steps to get there, but it’s a process and inspiration always comes line-upon-line. I’m grateful for the inspired ideas that have helped me move forward. I’m grateful for the hope it gives me to think that I must be on the right path, even though people tell me I’m not. Today I’m doing something that’s a little scary for me, but I know it’s the next step forward. November 4 – After going to the event yesterday, I had an amazing AHA realization when I realized that I had been given a 2nd chance at life. For many, many years, I thought I had changed everything I could about my situation, my marriage and the things I was frustrated about. Life wasn’t how I wanted it to be, but I couldn’t see any way to change anything to make it better. I didn’t want to stay angry and be upset all the time though, so I tried to accept what I couldn’t change, look to see what I could do to still be happy, and try to make the most of it. I’ve actually felt a lot of peace and happiness despite many difficult years and experiences I’ve been through. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve learned how to smile even through very difficult situations. It’s been a blessing and like I mentioned before, I’m grateful for my smile. Yesterday however, I finally realized (kind of funny that it took me so long…) that I’m NOT in the same situation that I was before. My life actually isn’t ANYTHING like it used to be. I’ve seen that as a negative thing. I haven’t liked some of what I’ve had to go through and there’s still a lot I can’t change. Yesterday, however, I realized, that things are different. It’s an empty slate, unwritten and available to experience and become something totally new, better and even amazing. I’m excited to see what the future holds, and to truly have a 2nd chance at not just “making the most of it”, but to truly BE happy. I’m excited to see what happens! November 5 – Today I’m grateful for clarity – in knowing which path I should be on right now and in feeling good about going in the direction I’m headed. If you’re like me, you’ve struggled in figuring out which path to go down. There’s always been too many choices and I’m afraid to go down the wrong one. Gratefully, this weekend I’ve had a lot of AHA’s and with prayer and some good insights from speakers and friends, I’m finally getting the clarity I’ve needed. I’m feeling nervous, but also excited – it’s the feeling I always get when I’m headed in the right direction and I’m about to take off.
