It was 4:30. My mother in law told me that she thought the post office closed at 5. I was literally shaking as I made the final edits to the sheet music. I saved all the sheet music as separate PDF’s and saved that and the script to a portable USB drive. I grabbed that and my computer (just in case) and raced out the door. I told my older son to pray for me- I was going to need it.
The PostNet I planned to go to was closed and abandoned. I would have to drive a ways to make it to Office Max. That was okay- it was close to the post office. I was driving fast. I felt like crying. Too much stress for one day. As I pulled out onto the main highway I had a strong impression, “Slow down- you’re going to make it.” I slowed down. I still had to print out all the music and get it packaged to deliver to the post office… I didn’t know how I was going to do it all, but I felt reassurance it would be okay. Not a minute after I slowed down, I passed by a police officer, who was gunning people- waiting for a passing speeder. I just started crying. How much worse would that have been, to get pulled over in the middle of all that stress to get a traffic ticket!
I got to the Office Max, and got everything done. It was 5:00. The guy told me that he didn’t think the post office closed until 6. He was right. It was actually even 6:30.
It’s done! It’s in. I didn’t finish all the recordings, so I’ll have to send that soon. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it, but for now, I’m going to relax!!!
