I’m grateful for new technology and the blessing it is to live so close to Primary Children’s hospital for the care of my son. Yesterday, Joshua had to have a cat scan done (isn’t the decorated chamber pretty cool?!) and we were shown the TAVR (or transcatheter aortic valve replacement) that will be used to replace his aortic valve. It’s very new technology, and it hasn’t been used a lot, but the doctors feel that it’s a really good option for him in order to avoid opening up his chest. It’s all very overwhelming, but it really is a blessing to have so many options and to have him in the good hands of the doctors there, and I’m very grateful for that.
