Well, the season is in full swing, and I haven’t even started my Christmas shopping yet. It really is a bummer, since now my kids are all off track. Still, it hasn’t been too bad, and we’ve started on our Christmas play. I’ve written out the script, and made up two songs that the kids can sing. I hope we have time to finish it. We may have to perform it the week after Christmas… it’s less busy then anyway.
I got to play the piano with the Middle School beginning orchestra today. We are preparing for the Christmas concert that will be held tomorrow night. I’ve been accompanying the Middle School choirs for a couple years now, but this was my first time to play with the orchestra. It was fun. Once I have the baby, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to continue, so I’ve been trying to enjoy the time I have.
Our Ward Christmas party was last Saturday. We had a traditional breakfast. I like doing the breakfast thing. My absolute favorite foods, are almost all incorporated in the breakfast meal of the day. Two of my friends and I sang my song, “Angel’s Carol” as a trio. It was so fun, and sounded great. One of my friends thought that it could have been written as a women’s trio. It worked wonderfully for us and for the program!
Everything’s going well. This baby is a “mover”. Not so much a kicker, but constantly moving. It’s nice to not be wondering if he’s okay. Only 8 more weeks to go. Today at the school, a bunch of giggly girls came up to me after the rehearsal, and asked if I was having a girl or a boy. I told them it was a boy, and they all acted relieved as they had been wondering the whole time if I was pregnant, or just had eaten way too much for Thanksgiving dinner. I laughed so hard! It was funny. I’m looking very much past the point of wondering, “If she’s pregnant”.
