I love the beginning of the year. It is always a fresh start, a new beginning, and a way to start anew. With the change in our church schedule (we have the 1-4 pm session) my goal is to write every week on Sundays. We’ll see how I do.
These last few months have been busy (hence the lack in writing!). I have been rediscovering all of my midi instrumentation, gear, and equipment. It has been crazy. I have almost finished writing all of the songs for my musical, and working on making those into demos to send to my producer, where hopefully we will turn it into a concert with live orchestration. It is going to be an amazing thing. So excited!!!
I’m also writing and chronicling my life history. I’ve had feelings about doing that for many years. I wanted to write a book about all the things I’ve learned and HOW I came to learn them. I’ve always kept journals and I’ve written a lot of songs, but as I’ve studied my life, I’m actually finding out a lot about myself that I didn’t know. This self discovery has been amazing. I really want to share what I’ve learned. I planned to make a podcast starting with my very first songs, and sharing some of those things there, but I realized that my story didn’t start when I made my first song. It actually goes back a lot further. I’ve decided to creatively make collages of each of my beginning years. I’m up to 4th grade. It is really amazing how much little tiny events in your history shape your life into who you are and what you become.
So anyway, stick around. I’ll try to write a whole lot more.
