Women’s conference was wonderful. I enjoyed it so much! Two days of insights, information and uplift (as well as no kids!) It was great. The most exciting part of course was getting to sing my new song, “The Bright Side of Life”. So fun! I didn’t have a chance to finish the final MP3 yet, but I’m hoping to in the next couple of days. The neatest part about the experience was hearing (for the first time) Nan Rasmussen’s talk. My song fit PERFECTLY with everything she said. It was like she was quoting the song (or I was quoting her). I didn’t know what she would say. I just had the topic and blurb about the class. I LOVE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS!
I shouldn’t be surprised though. That’s how God’s inspiration works! I’ve seen it countless times when I’ve been trying to pick songs for the choir to sing, or when a hymn is changed at the last minute, or even when someone “feels” to change their topic at the last minute and it goes right with the special musical number prepared. I love how music can tie a message together and give it that little punch. It was an amazing experience to be an instrument in God’s hands. I don’t know if the song touched anyone else. I hope it did. I hope everyone starts singing it whenever something comes up in their lives that they don’t like, but even if it didn’t, it was an amazing experience just being a part of the Women’s Conference . I loved sharing a message of hope and inspiration with all the beautiful sisters that attended the class.I hope I’ll get the opportunity to come again. =)
