November 7 – Today I am super grateful for the chance I had to go with my daughter Savanna and pick up my niece from the airport to drop her off at the Provo MTC. She’s going to make such a fantastic missionary! While we were in Provo, I got to visit my old college campus, visit with my daughter Mikaylaand enjoy some yummy ice cream from the BYU Creamery! Super fun! 😋

November 8 – Today I’m grateful to control my own destiny. I was talking with someone who wasn’t in control, but was positive that their happiness would happen once someone else changed. It brought back a flood of memories of when I had giving away my control as well, and I was feeling helpless, hopeless and unable to be happy in my circumstances. Today I’m grateful for the change that has happened. I’ve learned that my happiness is a choice, independent of others and how they may feel, think, or do things. It’s possible to be happy, even when others are not. It’s possible to love people even if they don’t love me. It’s possible to treat others with kindness and respect, even though they may not treat me that way in return. Learning to control my own destiny has left me able to feel happy, peaceful, and empowered to live the life I want to live regardless of how others live theirs. The people I’ve met along the way have been amazing. It’s been fun to help others get back their control as well. It’s been a lifetime pursuit, but it’s been SO, SO worth it!

November 10 – I’m grateful to live so close to this beautiful Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It is within walking distance of my house and I love to go there as often as I can. I get chills every time I see it, especially when it’s all lit up like this in the evening. I think it’s so incredibly beautiful!
