This morning I was asked if I would sing “O little Town Of Bethlehem” for church on Christmas Sunday. I’m excited. I needed a good excuse to write a Christmas song. Deadlines have always helped too. I’ve already played around with it a little bit and know it will be an alto solo and I might add a little tag to the ending to make the song more poignant. Hopefully it will be done soon enough that others can use it as well (before Christmas!)
Also today, I had to call poison control (again!) for my little 3 year old. She is doing fine. I just can’t explain how this child manages to find everything that she’s NOT supposed to find! (She’s got a 6th sense for trouble!!) She also managed to ruin the cute hair cut I had actually managed to make of her last cut. This time she unfortunately hacked the very front all the way to the very middle of her scalp. There’s nothing I can do now. I’ll be taking her to the hair dresser tomorrow, to see if maybe they can fix it… (sob again)
Things are going well though. I really enjoyed Thanksgiving this year, I even decided to take a quick dash out for some after-Thanksgiving sales shopping (first time). Not sure if I’ll try that again, but it was fun to try! I’ve already got Christmas decorations up, music playing, and already feeling in a very Christmasy mood. I’m really going to try to relax a little bit this year, and make sure I enjoy the season. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
